Job Advert: SEND Teacher

Location: Fazakerley, Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12-month
Salary: £150 - £180 per day (based on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our Specialist SEND school on a long term contract to start ASAP. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and making a real difference in the lives of young learners.

The School we are recruiting for supports students who have been or who are at risk of being permanently excluded and they are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, resilient and resourceful individuals to support the students in their learning and join in with our dynamic school life.

As a SEND Teacher, you will be working with small groups of secondary aged students, many who suffer with social, emotional and / or mental health issues (SEMH). You will work closely to support the students to ensure they are consistently working to positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to SEND pupils.

  • Work collaboratively with the current class teachers to plan, prepare, and assess lessons.

  • Lead small group interventions to support children s individual learning needs.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to thrive.

  • Support the wider school community and participate in school activities as required.

What We re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in teaching SEND - MLD - SEMH - ASD.

  • ECTs are welcome to apply full support will be provided.

  • A passion for supporting children s development and helping them reach their potential.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • A positive and proactive approach to teaching, with a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
