Job Role: Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Wandsworth, London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Pay: Paid to Scale

A vibrant and inclusive school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and SEMH
  • Help to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teaching team and SENCO

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with SEND
  • Strong understanding of a range of learning difficulties and strategies for support
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
