Phoenix Learning & Care Group seeks a dedicated Teacher to join their Oakwood Specialist College in Yate, specializing in education for neurodiverse young adults. In this permanent role, you will provide tailored support in a small class setting, ensuring learners achieve their potential through customized educational strategies and a compassionate approach.

Salary: Between £27,300 and £33,600 per annum, based on 40 hours per week, 42.4 weeks of the year.

Every person deserves the right to access meaningful education. That’s where you come in. As a Teacher, you’ll make sure neurodiverse young adults (Aged between 16 and 25) have the best education opportunities available.
Our Curriculum offer is not defined by qualification. It’s structured around the Post 16 Study Programme model, which includes a learning program, work experience, maths and English, and other non-qualification activities to enrich our learners' experience and prepare them for adulthood. Some learners may have social and emotional challenges, so working with them to develop life skills, communication skills and how to express their emotions through a neurodiverse affirming curriculum is key. You’ll be in a great position to do this as we’re a total communication environment.
You’ll get all the training and support you need to make sure our learners have the best experience possible. Whether it be curriculum development skills or working with our integrated therapies team to support our learners.
This college has between 5 and 7 learners in each class, so you’ll have the chance to really get to know the learners you support.
