Location: Solihull
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Contract: Part-time of Full-tim options available, Temporary
Rate: Paid on the Teachers' Pay Scale (dependent on experience)

Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, are working closely with a 'GOOD' rated special needs school in Solihull, where students thrive and staff are dedicated to supporting learners with a diverse range of needs.

They are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term role with potential for permanent placement, and immediate interviews are available.

This school is committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment for students with autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, mental health needs, and other learning needs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in similar settings, with a strong understanding of SEND education and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.

Candidates should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred; strong experience and an unqualified teacher qualification will also be considered
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEND, particularly autism, ADHD, or mental health needs
  • Knowledge of the secondary national curriculum, or ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Proven success in managing challenging behaviour and creating inclusive learning environments
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a tea

Desirable:

  • Experience working in special needs settings
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation and safeguarding procedures
