Are you a compassionate and creative SEND Teacher looking to make a real difference? A dedicated special school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a talented teacher to join their team in September 2025.

This full-time, permanent role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people with a wide range of complex needs, supporting them in achieving both academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with EHCPs.
  • Work with students with a range of learning needs including ASD, MLD, PMLD, and SEMH.
  • Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
  • Use multi-sensory and individualised teaching approaches.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and development.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews, planning meetings, and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential).
  • Experience working in a SEND setting (preferred).
  • Strong classroom management and a flexible, inclusive approach.
  • Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and assistive technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and professionals.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
  • Resilient, patient, and passionate about SEND education.
