Job description

Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher looking for a full-time role in a supportive Primary School? Flourish Education are working with a local school in Handsworth that want to appoint a teacher on a permanent basis to work within their new SRP. This position is starting ASAP and will start as a temporary role and then turn into a temp to perm for September 2025.

The school offers a nurturing and inclusive environment, where staff are supported to inspire pupils through a rich, creative curriculum. Our client has a large focus on respect, responsibility and community, which in turn creates a collaborative atmosphere that values staff contributions highly.

As a SEND Teacher you will be expected to:

  1. Plan and deliver engagement lessons to children from Nursery up to Year 6.
  2. Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  3. Work closely with support staff, SENCO and outside agencies to provide an inclusive learning environment.
  4. Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning outcomes.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience teaching students with SEND in a Resource Base or SEND School.
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  3. Strong behaviour management skills.
  4. Ability to differentiate lessons for pupils with additional needs.

Working as a SEND Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
