Job summary

Milk Education in Rochdale is seeking a SEND Teacher for specialist schools across the area. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND, focusing on inclusion and EHCP outcomes.

The role requires QTS, experience with SEND, and the ability to build calm, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and professionals. This is a full-time, term-time only position with daily pay.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience with SEND pupils or strong interest in supporting SEND.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, communication needs, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils through a calm and nurturing approach.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to provide effective classroom support.
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals.
• Contribute to individual education, behaviour and support plans.

Are you a passionate QTS-qualified teacher looking to make a meaningful difference to children and young people with SEND?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join specialist SEND schools across Rochdale, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QTS-qualified teacher who is passionate about inclusive education, personalised learning and positive behaviour support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

We’re Looking For a SEND Teacher Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Has experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, SEND pupils.

• Understands differentiation, personalised learning and positive behaviour support.

• Is patient, resilient and confident supporting pupils with complex needs.

• Can build strong and trusting relationships with children and young people.

• Has excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

• Is adaptable and responsive to individual pupil needs.

• Has a genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Previous SEND or specialist school experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from QTS-qualified teachers with experience in mainstream, SEND, SEMH or other specialist educational settings.
