Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a SEND Teacher to support pupils aged 2-19 with SEMH needs including Autism, ADHD and EBSA at a Lymington site.

The role involves delivering personalised lessons, working with TAs, EPs, MASH teams and families to create an inclusive environment where every learner can flourish. QTS is essential; SEMH experience and communication-support skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).
• Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH, particularly Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), ADHD and EBSA.
• Has a caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
• Delivers engaging, child-centred learning that promotes communication, confidence and independence.
• Is creative, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
• Desirable: Makaton, BSL, PECS, Signalong, AAC, Intensive Interaction, Trauma informed, Restorative Practice, Zones of Regulation, Visual communication strategies; Working alongside Speech and Language Therapists (SaLT).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each pupil's communication needs.
• Support learners from Early Years through to Post-16.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, Educational Psychologists, MASH teams, families and other professionals.
• Create an inclusive environment where every child can flourish.
• Provide SEN support and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning.

Location:Lymington

Start Date: September 2026 or October Half Term

Contract: Full-time or Part-time Considered

Salary: MPS-UPS + SEN Allowance (Potential TLR Available)

Are you a passionate SEND Teacher committed to supporting children and young people with a range of SEMH needs including Autism, ADHD and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and adaptable teacher to join our specialist team, working with pupils aged 2-19 years.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help children develop their learning, confidence and independence they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

The Role
