Vision for Education is seeking a SEND Teacher for a secondary setting in Melksham. You will deliver planned lessons and provide targeted support to students with SEND, including SEMH, ASD and ADHD, ensuring inclusive practice and behavioural strategies are applied.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with a temporary-to-permanent path for the right candidate. You must hold UK QTS and have experience in SEND settings.

• Experience delivering lessons and supporting students with a range of SEND needs.
• Ability to implement inclusive teaching strategies and manage challenging behaviours.

Full Time - Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 15:30pm (Temporary, to permanent full time)

Melksham

Pay to scale - £175 - £225Per Day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: UK QTS and experience working with students with special educational needs and behaviours that challenge.

Contract Dates: Flexible start dates available

The role

As a SEND Teacher, you will be required to support the class in the delivery of lessons, whilst also providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs.

Working with students with special educational needs is an extremely rewarding environment to work in, however it can be challenging getting to know the needs of students and therefore this role benefits from consistency and continuity.

Ideally for this role you will have had experience working with Social, emotional and mental health needs of children or young adults, ASD, ADHA, MLD and Emotional behaviours difficulties.

Based in an Ofsted rated 'Good' SEND provision in the Melksham area, the school caters for needs including but not limited to SEMH, ASC, ADHD, MLD and EBD.

The school caters for children in primary years all the way through to secondary (KS1 - KS5). This particular role will be based in a secondary aged classroom.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher, you will need to:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism - Ideally Maths and/or English.
• Experience working with children with a variety of SEND including but not limited to, MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs
• Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA's
• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
• Ideally be Team Teach trained or willing to undertake a course free of charge through us.
