Vision for Education Ltd. is recruiting a SEND Teacher in Peterborough to support lessons in a mainstream primary school and to guide students with varied learning needs.

The role requires UK QTS and experience working with children with SEND, including SEMH/ASD/MLD. You will join a committed team delivering inclusive education with safeguarding and professional development support.

SEND Teacher (in a mainstream primary school)

Full Time - Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 15:30pm (Temporary, to permanent full time)

Peterborough

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: UK QTS and experience working with students with special educational needs and behaviours that challenge.

The role

As a SEND Teacher, you will be required to support the class in the delivery of lessons, whilst also providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs.

Working with students with special educational needs is an extremely rewarding environment to work in, however it can be challenging getting to know the needs of students and therefore this role benefits from consistency and continuity.

Ideally for this role you will have had experience working with Social, emotional and mental health needs of children or young adults, ASD, ADHA, MLD and Emotional behaviours difficulties.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher, you will need to:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children with a variety of SEND including but not limited to, MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs
• Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA's
• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
