Are you a qualified teacher looking to make an impact in Special Educational Needs?

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed SEND Teacher to work in specialist and mainstream settings in Gainsborough, supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing tailored lessons and nurturing an inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities as a SEND Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work with TAs and support staff to implement EHCPs and individual strategies.
  • Liaise with SENCOs, therapists, and parents to monitor progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Requirements for SEND Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Experience working in a SEND or inclusive education setting.
  • Knowledge of a range of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or SLD.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
