Job Opportunity: SEND Teacher

We are recruiting for a SEND teacher on behalf of our client, a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in Barnet. The school is dedicated to providing excellent education to SEND students and fostering a nurturing environment where every child can reach their full potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, adaptable, and differentiated education tailored to each student's needs. The role requires a creative, empathetic, and patient individual who can inspire students with diverse neurodiversities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
  2. Develop and implement individual education plans for students with SEND.
  3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
  4. Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to support all students effectively.
  5. Coordinate with external professionals to support students' educational and personal development.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching children with SEND in a primary setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable
  • Additional qualifications or training in SEND.
  • Experience using assistive technology.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic strategies for children with SEND.

Location: Barnet, London
Salary: £175-£225 depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2024
