Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to support learners with SEND/SEMH needs through trauma-informed, engaging tuition in-person, online, or hybrid settings.

We offer flexible hours from part-time to full-time, competitive pay (£28–£35/hr) and access to CPD and mentoring. Join our purpose-driven team dedicated to improving lives and outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths or Science.
• QTS or QTLS certification required and DBS enhanced.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths, English or Science tutoring in person, online or hybrid.
• Plan lessons and provide progress updates to learners and authorities if needed.
• Support disengaged or vulnerable learners with trauma-informed approaches.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
