Job summary

Redwood High is a large special school for learners with SEND aged 11-19 in Rochdale. We are seeking dedicated teaching assistants to join our warm and supportive team, starting January 2027. The role involves specialist support, 121 and small group interventions, and whole-class cover as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support individual students, small groups, or lead learning activities in area of specialism.
• Deliver whole class teaching cover during PPA time or staff absence where relevant to role deployment.
• Deliver 121 and small group intervention both in and out of the classroom.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Review and assess learner progress.
