Job summary

Engage Partners Limited invites applications for a Teaching Assistant in Wandsworth. The role offers a daily rate of £90–£100 and starts in September, with a working day from 8:30 to 15:30.

This position supports learners with SEND in a specialist college environment and focuses on developing confidence, independence, and essential life skills. You will work with lecturers and support staff to provide person-centred support, helping create a calm, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND (ASD, learning disabilities and/or complex needs desirable).
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching staff in delivering personalised learning programmes.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to promote engagement, communication, and independence.
  • Assist learners with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and daily routines.
  • Implement strategies that encourage positive behaviour and develop life skills.
  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support teams to ensure consistent support.
