Job summary

Milk Education are recruiting SEND Support Workers to join our school-based teams in Epsom and surrounding areas. You will support young people with SEND in welcoming, inclusive environments, both 1:1 and in small groups.

You’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs and families, enabling learners with autism, ADHD and related needs to access learning, develop independence and progress toward their goals. We value compassionate, resilient applicants with safeguarding awareness and a genuine

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting SEND learners in a school setting.
  • Able to deliver 1:1 and small group support in diverse classrooms.
  • Strong safeguarding awareness and welfare focus.
  • Collaborative approach with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students.
  • Assist pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH, speech and language needs.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Support learning in classrooms and during wider school activities.
  • Work with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver personalised support.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
  • Promote safeguarding and the wellbeing of every young person.

SEND Support Worker - School Based (Young People)

Location: Epsom, Surrey

Salary: Day rate - £107.00-£115.00 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time & Part-time Opportunities Available

The Role

As a SEND Support Worker, you'll work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support for students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be vital in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional needs.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver personalised support.
