Job summary

The Shaw Education Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join Ivy House School in Derby. You will work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, providing targeted support to pupils and helping manage the classroom.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, plus experience supporting learning in SEND settings. You will assist with literacy, numeracy, science and early years, helping pupils reach their potential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or demonstrated knowledge/skill/experience.
• Assist children with personal needs and general health including basic first aid.
• Good understanding of learning areas for pupils with SEND and early years.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct instruction of teaching staff in the classroom.
