Your role:

In this role you will:

Have responsibility for the administrative support within the Special Educational Needs and Disability Service and assist other administrative colleagues when required.

Confidentially input and extract information by effectively and efficiently navigating the Capita One record system and using Microsoft Office applications.

Prepare and distribute paperwork for Panel meetings, and produce clear, concise minutes.

Work to statutory deadlines and prioritise work to meet conflicting demands.

Deliver a high standard of customer service in person, over the telephone and via email, being aware of Data Protection in all areas of work.

Assist the Management Team in developing a comprehensive administrative support service.

About you:

You must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements: -

NVQ 2 in Administration, or equivalent qualification or the ability to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge, skills and experience.

Excellent communication and customer care skills.

Good IT skills using Microsoft Office applications and the willingness to learn and absorb new data systems.

Ability to work on own initiative within a team framework.

Have a clear understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection.

Flexibility to support a range of different work projects.

The SEND team has an obligation to meet the statutory guidelines of the Special Educational Needs (SEN&D) Code of Practice. Our main responsibly is to focus on supporting families through the Education, Health and Care (EHC) process, writing EHC plans and attending review meetings with families. We work closely with a range of key partners and stakeholders’ professionals, which results in effective multiagency working. We provide support to families, schools and colleges and other educational settings to ensure children and young people are educated appropriately in the right setting to meet their needs. We will provide you with a supportive working environment and give you the opportunity to learn and develop further within the organisation.
