Job summary

Hackney New Primary School in London is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the SEND Support Hub/Resource Provision. You will support pupils with a range of SEND, helping them access learning, develop independence and participate in school life.

The role requires patience, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. 36.5 hours per week, term-time only, fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work under the direction of teachers and the SENDCo to support a range of SEND needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND within our SEND Support Hub/Resource Provision, enabling them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential.
• Make a direct impact on pupils' learning, wellbeing and inclusion by providing targeted support, delivering structured interventions and promoting positive engagement in school life.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, school leaders and the wider SEND Provision Team to ensure pupils receive high-quality support tailored to their needs.
