Job summary

Our Lady of Compassion Catholic Primary School in Solihull is seeking a dedicated Teaching and Learning Support Assistant on a part-time basis (32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year). You will join a supportive T&L team to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their potential.

The role focuses on providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support, including pupils with SEND, while upholding Catholic ethos and working closely with teachers, families and external professionals.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and model the school's Catholic values, supporting children to live out the mission statement.
• Work as part of a supportive Teaching and Learning Support Team to meet pupils' needs, including those with SEND.
• Provide targeted one-to-one support for pupils with identified additional needs.
• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups to ensure access to the curriculum and progress.
• Deliver small-group interventions to support pupils' development across academic, social, emotional and personal areas.
• Adapt and scaffold learning activities to enable pupils to access learning successfully.
