Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting an Occupational Therapy graduate for a full-time, long-term role in a Year 2 classroom in Walker (NE6). You will support pupils with SEND, deliver sensory regulation strategies, and assist with motor skills development while collaborating with teachers, SENCO, therapists and families.

The role offers hands-on experience in paediatric therapy within a supportive school community, with onsite parking and ongoing safeguarding training provided.

Qualifications

• OT graduate with relevant qualification.
• Interest in paediatric therapy, education, or child development.
• Placements, volunteering, care work, or coaching experience are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND needs in Year 2.
• Deliver sensory regulation strategies and movement breaks.
• Assist children with fine and gross motor skill development.
• Support personalised intervention programmes.
• Work closely with class teacher, SENCO, therapists and families.
• Encourage communication, independence, and participation in lessons.
