Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a SEND Support Assistant for a friendly primary school in Jesmond. The role involves supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping with learning, communication and emotional regulation.

You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to provide structure, encouragement and consistency, enabling pupils to participate in lessons and thrive at school. The position is full-time, long-term, paying £92.63-£102 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND needs.
• Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Support for communication and social interaction.
• Support for emotional wellbeing and regulation.
