We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Student Support Workers to work for our partner SEND schools that are seeking new staff for the next academic year.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND, assisting them with academic tasks, personal care, and social integration.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations to meet students\' specific needs.
  • Support students with developing essential skills such as communication, independence, and self-regulation.
  • Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress, recording and reporting on achievements and areas for development.
  • Collaborate with parents, external professionals, and other members of the school community to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, fostering their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of different types of SEND, as well as strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently, with a proactive and flexible approach to tasks.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications or training in areas such as Special Educational Needs, Childcare, or Social Work are advantageous.
