A forward-thinking SEND school in Hackney is looking for a passionate and committed Sports Coach to support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about making a real difference through physical education and structured activities.

While direct school-based experience isn’t essential, we welcome applicants with backgrounds in sports coaching, youth work, or care settings, especially if you've supported individuals with behavioural or emotional needs.

This is a full-time position.

The ideal candidate will:

• Use sport and movement to engage students positively and consistently

• Stay calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours effectively

• Inspire and motivate students with a confident, caring, and energetic approach

• Show empathy and adaptability to meet the needs of students with complex profiles

• Work collaboratively with staff and parents to promote progress and wellbeing

• Be proactive and resilient in a demanding but rewarding environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
