Job summary

A leading educational support provider is seeking a qualified SEND Specialist Tutor to provide personalized support for a Year 8 student in St Helens. The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent, experience with SEND students, and the creativity and patience required for effective teaching. The position is available for both part-time and full-time arrangements, with an hourly rate of £30. This role is critical for supporting students with additional needs.

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced SEND Specialist Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a Year 8 student based in St Helens.

Due to the nature of the support, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN – particularly ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Sensory needs.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Have experience working with SEND students
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside the box
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child‑barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‑related references
