Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council in Mansfield is seeking a Children's Service Manager to lead the Statutory SEND Service and drive SEND reforms. You will work with the SEND Partnership Team to promote mainstream inclusion and improve outcomes for children with education, health and care plans.

You will build partnerships, guide a skilled team and implement strategies that support early intervention, with a focus on delivering high-quality services in a collaborative, community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in managing teams within children's services.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and practice.
• Experience using performance data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Leading and inspiring a dedicated team to deliver high-quality SEND services.
• Building strong relationships with partners, school leaders, parents and carers.
• Developing and implementing strategies for early intervention and support for SEND.
• Overseeing quality assurance of SEND services and statutory compliance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and outcomes.
