Looking for a new setting, a fresh challenge or your first opportunity in specialist education? Let's talk about what could suit you.
I'm recruiting Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and specialist support staff for SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex.
I work with primary and secondary settings around Hastings, Battle, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes and surrounding areas, with flexible and longer-term opportunities throughout the 2026/27 academic year.
Opportunities regularly include:
Some roles require previous specialist experience. Others can suit people bringing skills from mainstream education, care, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring or mentoring.
If you've supported young people to build confidence, manage difficult situations or engage with something they find challenging, you may already have experience worth exploring.
Before moving into recruitment, I worked directly within SEND education myself.
I know that supporting young people can involve much more than helping them complete their work. Communication, emotional regulation, trust and independence can all be part of the school day.
I also know that specialist settings vary considerably. The age group, pupils' needs, school approach and staff team can all shape your experience.
When we speak, I'll want to understand what you enjoy, where your strengths lie and what you're looking for next. That helps us focus on opportunities that make sense for you.
