Job summary

Ackerman Pierce Ltd. seeks an experienced Experts at Hand Lead (SEND Reform) to mobilise and implement a new SEND support model for a Local Authority.

The role focuses on delivering improved inclusion and outcomes for children and young people with SEND, through cross-agency collaboration and effective governance. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, shape the graduated response, and work with schools to build capacity while monitoring performance and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within SEND, Education, Health or Local Authority services.
• Proven experience leading SEND transformation or change programmes.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education.
• Experience working across multi-agency partnerships and integrated services.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience translating strategic priorities into operational delivery.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven approach to monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilisation and implementation of the Experts at Hand model for delivery readiness.
• Collaborate with Education, SEND, Health and ICB partners to develop integrated ways of working.
• Establish a multi-disciplinary model with educational psychologists, SLT, OTs and teachers.
• Develop governance, performance monitoring and reporting arrangements.
• Promote inclusive practice by strengthening the graduated response in schools.
• Monitor service performance and use data to drive improvement.
• Support commissioning, resource planning and use of funding.
• Represent the Local Authority at SEND forums and partnership meetings.
• Build strong relationships with schools and partner agencies for successful implementation.
