An SEMH school in Robertsbridge is looking for an experienced SEN Teacher. QTS is preferred, but non-qualified experienced teachers will also be considered.

Position: SEND Primary Teacher
Hours: Monday - Friday, hours per week

As a Primary Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximizes their achievements and ability to develop.

We are looking for a Primary Teacher experienced in teaching a range of subjects who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.

The school is a new independent special educational needs provision for 32 pupils aged 5-12. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers, support staff, and therapists to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs, including social, emotional, behavioral, communication, and learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver tailored lessons for SEND students.
  • Adapt curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and success.
  • Implement individualized education plans and foster a supportive classroom.
  • Collaborate with support staff for holistic student development.
  • Monitor progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching SEND students is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of various SEND conditions and effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
