Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: North Yorkshire

Leader Education is recruiting a Primary Teacher to work within a SEND school in Yorkshire. The school provides education and care for pupils aged 3 to 16 years with various learning difficulties, so knowledge of EHCPs is essential.

The school operates across two sites—a primary and a secondary site—both fostering a warm, inclusive community. Its catchment area extends from Stockton-on-Tees to Harrogate.

The typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 15:30, and the position is long-term.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant qualifications
  • A current DBS on the update system or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to deliver the curriculum effectively, providing support and guidance to pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of SEND and ability to implement effective strategies and care
  • Adaptability and initiative to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities
  • High expectations for social and academic development
