Bath & North East Somerset Council seeks SEND Practitioners to support children and families through statutory SEND processes. About the role
The Education Health and Care Team are looking to recruit new SEND Practitioners for children, young people and their families to work closely with relevant professionals throughout statutory SEND processes.
The SEND Practitioners role focuses on person centred planning, co-production and outcomes to generate outstanding and effective Education Health and Care Plans to support children and young people with their education and preparing for adulthood.
This is a diverse and engaging role with SEND Practitioners carrying significant responsibility for progressing individual cases in discussion with education colleagues and other agencies.

About you
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to independently plan your workload to meet specified timescales are a must. You’ll also be energised by working under pressure, able to switch between competing priorities, and comfortable using your initiative. Finally, you’ll have the skills to analyse and interpret information from a wide range of sources, and excellent written and verbal communication skills which mean you can summarise that information concisely.

Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible by public transport and with a train station 5 minutes walk away.
