Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council invites applications for a Place Planning Officer (SEND) on a fixed-term basis. The role is hybrid, based at County Hall, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP, 37 hours per week, with a salary in the range £48,738–£54,143 per annum.

You will forecast demand for SEND places, manage complex data and work with schools, local authorities, planners and developers to ensure SEND provision and establish new SEND schools.

• Forecasting future SEND place demand from demographic data and trends.

• Collaborate with schools, local authorities, planners and housing developers to integrate SEND needs into infrastructure planning.
• Provide guidance to senior leaders and elected members on SEND matters.
• Assist in securing funding for additional SEND provisions.
• Support establishment of new SEND schools to meet local needs.
