Job summary

BS Social Care on behalf of a Hayes-based education provider is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join a brand-new SEND provision. You will deliver high-quality personal care and daily living support to students with complex needs, promoting independence and wellbeing in a safe learning environment.

The role is term-time only, 36 hours per week across 39 weeks, with hours from 8:45am to 4:30pm (Friday until 4:15pm). DBS checks and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and SEND.
• Training and practical knowledge in manual handling and personal care.
• Ability to follow care plans, maintain dignity, and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including hygiene, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Support with eating, drinking, feeding, and nutritional needs.
• Administer and prompt medication per care plans.
• Use hoists and manual handling equipment safely.
• Support students using mobility aids and with physiotherapy exercises.
• Maintain accurate records of care delivery and reporting.
