Job summary

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is facilitating a Male Care Assistant position at Education Impact Academy Trust, Hive College, Erdington, Birmingham. The role involves supporting male students with SEND in personal care and daily living skills within a positive, inclusive setting. The post is permanent with a 32.5-hour week (Mon-Fri, TTO).

Salary is Grade 1 (£24,413–£24,796 FTE; pro rata £19,006.12–£19,304.30). DBS enhanced is required and a start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience of and the ability to deal positively with young adults with SEND.
• Strong communication skills with students and colleagues.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support in personal care.
• Flexible and positive approach to change and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the personal care and management of male students with physical disabilities and/or medical conditions.
• Contribute to a happy, safe and supportive learning environment.
• Support students to improve independence and apply skills in daily living.
