Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is partnering with a specialist SEND setting in High Wycombe to recruit a SEND Teacher with a PE specialism. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, personalised PE teaching in a nurturing environment.

Classes are very small, sometimes no more than three pupils per class, enabling tailored support and close teacher-pupil relationships. QTS/QTLS is essential, with a minimum of two years in SEND and a passion for helping pupils with complex needs.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a SEND environment or similar provision.
• Passion for supporting young people with SEND and complex needs.
• Experience managing and supporting challenging behaviour.
• Flexible, patient and inclusive approach to teaching.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to develop personalised and engaging learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons meeting varying learning styles and abilities.
• Develop personalised learning pathways based on individual needs and targets.
• Support pupils with complex SEND and challenging behaviours to achieve positive outcomes.
• Encourage independence, confidence and active engagement in learning.
• Prepare appropriate teaching materials and safely manage equipment and resources.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a consistent and supportive approach.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and professional practice.
