Job summary

Adversa Recruitment Limited is seeking a PCV Driver to provide safe transport for children and young people with SEND in Greater London. The role covers the allocated vehicle, passenger safety, and flexible duties to meet service needs.

You will drive large passenger vehicles, carry out checks, assist SEND passengers, and liaise with parents and school staff. The role offers training, term-time pay, and potential career progression.

Qualifications

• PCV/D Licence (clean)
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Experience with large passenger vehicles (desirable)
• Experience with SEND/disabilities (desirable)
• Wheelchair tail lifts experience (desirable)
• Knowledge of road traffic legislation and equality requirements
• First aid knowledge or willingness to train
• DBS check (we can help)

Responsibilities

• Safely drive passenger-carrying vehicles in compliance with regulations
• Carry out daily vehicle checks; report defects and maintain cleanliness
• Assist passengers with SEND using appropriate aids and equipment
• Provide escort duties during journeys
• Follow scheduled pick-up/drop-off points and report delays
• Keep accurate records and complete incident documentation
• Liaise with parents, carers, school staff and colleagues
• Work independently and resolve issues during journeys
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusive practice
