Job summary

Educ8SEN is expanding across Kent and recruiting SEND Tutors and Outreach Educators to support learners who cannot access mainstream education. Roles are part-time, freelance, and offer flexible hours with on-the-road delivery across Medway & Kent.

We welcome applicants with SEND/SEMH experience, DBS clearance, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include one-to-one sessions, trauma-informed approaches, and collaboration with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND/SEMH, including at least 2 years with SEN/SEMH learners.
• At least 1 year of teaching or mentoring experience.
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one; Update Service DBS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition and engagement sessions.
• Support emotional regulation and confidence-building.
• Build positive and consistent professional relationships.
• Deliver personalised learning programmes.
• Support reintegration into education.
• Provide Functional Skills and GCSE support where appropriate.
• Record attendance and progress updates.
• Collaborate with families and professionals.
• Apply trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
