Job summary

Essex Special Schools Education Trust (ESSET) is recruiting an Outreach Support Worker/Teacher to join its expanding ESSET Outreach service across Essex schools. You will support SEND learners, model inclusive practice, deliver interventions, and provide guidance to staff, with a focus on KS3 transition and early identification of needs.

Working under the Outreach Lead, you will embed recommendations, write reports, and participate in outreach training.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in SEND or Education; HLTA/ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience working with pupils with SEND and complex needs.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals.
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
Good communication, report writing and IT skills; driving licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

Embed SEND recommendations in schools under the direction of the Outreach Lead.
Provide support and advice to school staff to promote inclusive practices.
Model high-quality teaching and learning strategies in classrooms.
Deliver or support with interventions for learners with SEND.
Contribute to outreach training and write clear reports to a professional standard.
Maintain timely communication with schools and other professionals.
