Job description

Our paediatric SEND team is seeking an occupational therapist to join on a bank basis.

This role involves visiting schools across Essex, so the candidate must have a valid driving license and access to a car.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will hold an appropriate occupational therapy degree and be HCPC/RCSLT registered. They will be supported to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with children with special educational needs is essential. The role includes providing training (in-person or virtual) to nursery and education staff and parents as needed.

The post requires engaging with children and families, liaising with nursery and education staff, and contributing to Educational Health and Care Plans. Travel across Essex is a requirement.
