SEND Maths Teacher - PRU, SEMH

Type: Permanent (via trial contract)

Start: ASAP

Location: Swindon

Pay: MPS & UPS + SEND allowance

About the Role

Elementa is recruiting an able Maths Teacher to work at a special school & PRU in Swindon. The school provides education for learners with ASD/ASC (Autism), SEMH, and other complex needs, including children who have been permanently excluded. Many students display challenging behaviours.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous SEND experience, particularly in SEMH and ASD/ASC, with the ability to adapt teaching accordingly.
  • For non-subject specialists, strong Maths teaching experience and the ability to engage learners are essential.
  • Training in Team Teach or positive behaviour management is advantageous but not mandatory, as free training is provided.
