New City College is seeking a passionateand dedicated Hourly Paid Lecturer in SEND to join our inclusivelearning team. This role involves teaching and assessing learnersaged 16-24 and adults across a range of entry-level to Level 2programmes, including RARPA-based courses. You will play a keyrole in supporting students with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them achieve their fullpotential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching andlearning experiences tailored to SEND learners.
  • Prepare and assess learning materialsand outcomes in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Act as a personal tutor or coursecoordinator for designated student groups.
  • Support learners academically andpastorally, responding to diverse needs with sensitivity.
  • Contribute to curriculum development andcontinuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records andparticipate in student monitoring and progression.
  • Liaise with employers and externalagencies regarding placements and career opportunities.
  • Uphold safeguarding, equality, andhealth and safety policies.

Who YouAre:

  • A degree or equivalentqualification.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (orwillingness to obtain one).
  • Recent experience teaching discrete LDD(Learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities)provision.
  • Ability to teach effectively and preparematerials for a wide range of SEND learners.
  • Commitment to inclusive education andunderstanding of diverse learner needs.
  • Strong teamwork and communicationskills.
  • Awareness of safeguarding and equalitypractices with practical implementation ideas.
