Lecturer SEND

Northumberland Skills Service [part of Northumberland County Council] is seeking to appoint a SEND Lecturer who can make a difference within Northumberland. The role requires significant industry experience and experience delivering programmes to Post 16 learners and Apprentices.

Overview

The successful candidate will undertake responsibilities across a range of programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 and contribute to high quality educational delivery. Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality educational programmes across a range of programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 for Post 16 learners and Apprentices.
• Demonstrate an innovative approach to teaching and programme delivery.
• Contribute to the assessment and progression of learners in line with programmes and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above in a relevant Skill trade.
• A Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• A relevant Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• An innovative approach to delivering high quality educational programmes across Levels 1 to 3.
• GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths or appropriate equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework.

Benefits and Additional Information

• 26 days annual leave plus public/bank holidays, rising to 31 days after 5 years of service (pro rata for part-time employees).
• Automatic enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
• Flexi scheme (if applicable) - up to 2 days flexible leave available per month (pro rata for part-time employees).
