Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting for a full-time, term-time only Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND within a school part of a respected academy trust. Psychology graduates or those with SEND experience are encouraged to apply.

The role involves supporting emotional and sensory regulation, assisting in learning activities, and collaborating with teachers and SENCOs. Initial placement through Aspire People for 12 weeks, then school contract.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND and challenging behaviours.
• Ability to support emotional and sensory regulation in pupils.
• Proactive, resilient and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support children with emotional and sensory regulation needs.
• Work with pupils who exhibit challenging behaviours and help develop strategies to support their development.
• Assist in creating and implementing learning activities and strategies.
• Provide consistent and empathetic support to students, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure individual learning needs are met.
