SEND Learning Support Assistant

Location: BODMIN

Type of school: SEND KS2-4

Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

We are urgently seeking a Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a SEN school in BODMIN.

This role is full-time. It is desirable to have a UK driving license and own vehicle, but this is not essential.

Previous experience in UK SEN schools, alternative provisions, or transferable skills working with children with behavioural needs is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, providing personalized support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop support plans.
  • Create a nurturing environment to promote social interactions and communication skills.
  • Assist with daily activities, academic tasks, and implement interventions to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes.

  • Effective communication skills for clear interactions.
  • Applicants with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be prioritized.
