  • Educated to degree level including a relevant professional qualification (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and the additional SENCO qualification
The Role

You will support the Virtual School Head in ensuring that Bolton Council fulfills its statutory duties in promoting the education of children with a social worker.

You’ll provide guidance and support with arrangements related to identification, information gathering, assessment, provision, and review and monitoring for looked after and previously looked after children and young people with special educational needs.

You’ll need to take a lead in cases of looked after children who have EHC Plans or where plans are in process, offering advice and guidance to Previously Looked After children and those on Child Protection Plans or at Child in Need.

You’ll be a key member of the SEND Board to raise the profile of children with a social worker.

Educated to degree level including a relevant professional qualification (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and the additional SENCO qualification.
