Job description

Salary:Scale 3 - £12.85 per hour (35 hours per week)

Contract:Permanent

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support groups of pupils and/or individuals with their learning within our SEND provision.

The successful applicants will have very high expectations in terms of supporting pupils in order for them to reach their true potential.

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Inclusion Support Worker to provide targeted support for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).Working closely with the SENDCO, DSLs, teachers, and external professionals, you will lead interventions, adapt curriculum delivery, and help overcome barriers to learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group support for students with SEMH, SEN, and behavioural needs
  • Support the implementation of ADPRs and personalised strategies
  • Work with teachers to adapt lessons and promote inclusive practice
  • Build positive relationships and support students' emotional well-being
  • Lead and contribute to mentoring, social skills, and resilience programmes
  • Liaise with families and professionals to ensure holistic support
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures

The hours will be 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday including half hour lunchtime duty term time only.
