Job summary

Education Authority in Northern Ireland is seeking an Adviser for SEND Implementation and Development to contribute to the development and implementation of SEND across a regional framework. You will work with colleagues across the SEND & Youth Directorate and Health and Social Care to deliver targeted improvements.

The role requires delivering capacity-building programmes, engaging schools, and evaluating outcomes, in line with the Programme for Government and NI Children and Young People’s

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree (UK Qualification and Credit Framework Level 6) or an equivalent or higher qualification.
  • Demonstrate five years’ experience working in a professional capacity where the delivery of special education services to support schools to meet pupil need is a core aspect of the work.
  • Demonstrate two years’ experience of successful delivery of learning and development programmes for school staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Adviser in the SEND implementation and development within a regional framework.
  • Lead and work as part of a team to ensure targets in the EA SEND Implementation Plan are progressed on time.
  • Contribute to delivery of projects to progress targets within the SEND Implementation Plan.
  • Implement processes for use of technology in respect of SEND processes and capacity building.
