Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND HLTA to join our team at a well-established school located between Rotherham and Doncaster. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and offers excellent transport links via the M1/18.

About the School:

The school provides high-quality education and support for children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). It also has a post-16 site in Rotherham for seamless student transitions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with SLD.
  2. Support students' academic, social, and emotional development in an inclusive environment.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
  4. Provide individual and small group support to students.
Requirements:
  1. Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or certification.
  2. Experience with children with SLD or SEND is highly desirable.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
  5. Supportive, friendly, and committed to professional growth.
