What is the job role?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our School for September. We are looking for an experienced EYFS practitioner to support a group of Reception pupils with additional needs.

• To support students who have Special Educational Needs: cognition and learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties. This will involve working on a 1:1 basis, but also supporting small groups of learners with a variety of complex needs.

• To support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process by providing care and supervision to children including those who have special physical, emotional and education needs.

• To help to keep children safe.

• Develop and promote positive relationships.

• Support the development and effectiveness of work teams.

• Reflect on and develop practice.

• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

• To lead interventions so that the children can reach their full potential.

• Align to job description and person specification.

Who are we looking for?

• In return, St Anne’s Catholic Primary School can offer commitment to both pupils and staff, ensuring both achieve their full potential and 'thrive' within our school.

• We are proud of the offer we provide to our team, including:

• An unwavering commitment to professional learning, with CPD opportunities.

• A strong, collaborative team who respect each other, strive for excellence, and have the courage to make decisions, take risks, and support each other positively.

• An opportunity to work and learn alongside an experienced and successful leadership team with a proven track record of school improvement across different settings.

• A highly supportive Governing Body committed to helping the school.

• A visible Senior Leadership team that promotes and leads with transparency and empathy.

Suitable candidates will have experience in an EYFS setting, a passion for working with SEND children, and a child-focused approach with a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

Work pattern:

35 hours per week, 39 weeks.

Please see the application form available to download. Completed applications should be returned directly to the school.

Closing date: Thursday 4th July, 12 pm

Interview date: Tuesday 9th July

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
