Job Title: SEND Graduate
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Starting after Easter 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are inviting enthusiastic and dedicated graduates to apply for the position of SEND Graduate to support pupils in Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity for psychology, education, or health and social care graduates aiming to make a real impact in an educational setting while developing their careers.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role ideal for a graduate who is keen to build a career in education, mental health, youth work, or psychology. You’ll be supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Promote positive behaviour and help manage emotional regulation in pupils.
• Assist with tailored learning interventions and activities that meet each child’s individual needs.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Help foster an inclusive and safe environment for all learners.

Job Requirements:

• A degree in psychology, education, social sciences or a related field
• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs
• A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional regulation.
• A desire to learn and develop within a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
